DESTROZALTRI
A protest game cobbled together in around 4 days, denouncing a very real capitalist abuse in my region.

I grew up with classic shmups like Gradius, Zero Wing etc so I always like to see indie games in the genre. I've never seen a "bullet catcher" mechanic like that before, very cool concept. Appreciate you raising awareness about what's going on in Galicia, I hadn't heard about it. I'll do my best to support the cause.
Thanks for supporting the cause, that was the whole reason I made this.
Yeah, I also grew up with shumps, although in my case it was random flash games. I think there was some minor inspiration from R-Type to make the bullet catcher, although this was so rushed I don't remember my entire thought train.
This game is really fuckin badass! The bullet catcher idea is really original and creative, though I wish shooting down each fucker felt more satisfying. Artstyle is SUPER kickass, the bright colours and collages are a pleasure to look at. I also like how the story is like... actually about something from real life instead of just being like "grrrrr,! fuck you, unspecified oppressive system", it shows that you are very passionate about this project.
I'm passionate about this game because I don't know how to hire a hitman to go after asshole CEOs.
The bosses are a bit easy on purpose, I wanted people to get to the end fast so they could see the donation links. Glad you're liking the artstyle, it's good to know that something made on a hurry out of stock images and poorly coded shaders can make people go "yeah this is cool".
This is a shameless self-promotion, but if you want harder bosses, a similar artstyle and more "fuck this real life issue", you can try out mecha analog horror Connect the Dots.
I really like the art style and I think the way the gameplay works fits well thematically with the message of the game.
The art caught my attention from the very first time I saw it among entries (gamedev.tv jam). Visuals are fascinating, and the message is important. I am glad people are enjoying your game, even if it was too confusing for me to play properly.
Wow, this is so awesome! The aesthetic is incredible, and the theme is of course super important. Thanks for letting me know about this and thanks for making such a terrifying game, haha.
The mechanics with catching projectiles and sending them back was really cool as well. Love this all around. Keep fighting the good fight!

When you hate corporations and have a fever dream:
"When (insert negative experience) and you have a fever dream" is a fairly accurate summary of almost all of my stuff.
THIS-IS-GLORIOUS. I could feel the righteous indignation at what is happening and felt invested in learning about what was happening. It is horrible and hope that company never succeeds in doing something so horrible.
Exactly, this was made out of pure indignation. It seems that every corporation that reaches a certain threshold of money and power instantly becomes an utter asshole,
At least the donation campaign for the protest movement did reach the minimum, hopefully this game managed to contribute to that (and even if if didn't, I donated myself).
It protesting fails I'm going to straight up support the formation of a Galician Viet Cong. Go ahead, try to cut the trees motherfuckers. I am the Lorax, I speak for the trees, they are saying ME CAGO NA CONA QUE OS PARIU....now that I think about it, I've been on a indignation spree with jam submissions recently. We had "fuck genAI the game", "decolonize Sakha the game" and now this.
so weird
Side effects of making a game in 4 days fueled by pure anti-corporate rage.
